The Magpie managed to leave the nest this morning, as I knew I needed a picture for today. So after a quick supermarket sweep I made for the hills on the opposite side of the valley to where I live.
There are some lovely little villages with very narrow lanes but the main problem I had was finding somewhere safe to park the car. I ended up driving along with the camera next to me and leaping out to take a shot and hoping nobody else came along as I was blocking the lanes.
This picture shows how both homes and farms where built on the slopes. The area is so green at the moment, probably due to the amount of rain we've had lately. Try viewing this picture with the dark surround.
