I had to go up to my football club, Forest Green Rovers, to pick up my coming season's pass. Whilst there I took a couple of pictures of some of something you wouldn't see at most professional football clubs.
These are the cars that some of the players and football staff drive, very bright and you really know when they are around. They are all electric cars and the players just plug them into these power supply units, then after training or matchdays they just unplug them and off they go.
When they first came out I told people that they would need a very long lead like the vacuum cleaner, then after a mile the would need to stop and plug in again to a nearby house. Some gullible people believed me which was I found quite amusing.
Thank you all for your recent comments and FAV's, view with the dark surround if you have time.
Very striking & so uplifting to see a football team have a sensible frugal car. That's the trouble with our over paid, under trained, non committed, owners of obscenely over the top models of fancy cars, too much money & not wanting to spoil the hair do....I could go on!
Nice shot and I love your story. Don't tell the gullible people what happens in a power cut, ha ha.'
I told a friend of mine that the word gullible is the only word not in the dictionary, I must have sounded convincing because later she phoned me and said "Yes it is in the dictionary I have just looked it up". I said "Of course it is and what does it mean, could it be something like believing everything that people tell you". ha ha.
Great idea if they ever get the batteries right and a safe way to dispose of them... need some that will travel over a few 100 miles, a lot of the hybrids really do more eco damage than fossil fuel, its pretty though
