I've always hated the heat in Summer and spent my life telling people that I should have been born a polar bear, my Mother must have got my birth wrong.
Well I've now changed my mind with out current weather. This is my weather station on the kitchen wall and gives you all the information you need.
The top line gives you the date, day and moon cycle. The next line has the time and signal strength from thermometer outside. The third block gives you the indoor info showing it still only 17.4 C and rising, at least it tells me the suns out.
Now for the important bit, the outside conditions. As you can see at 8.16am this morning it was -4.5 C with a humidity of 84%, dampness in the air.
I've had an idea, shall I switch my freezer off and save electricity putting the food outside. There has to be a benefit to this cold weather.
I can do cold as long as it's dry and sunny. It seems we had the honour of being in the coldest place in Britain last night. Our local weather station at Sennybridge recorded a temperature of -9.7 degrees C last night.
I'm loving this weather Heather! As long as there's no wind I love it cold, you can wrap up warm & after a day's work come in& sit round the fire, nothing better!
@happypat There is a temperature sensor outside Pat and it's connected wireless (WiFi) to the indoor unit. They are not very expensive, put weather station into Ebay or Amazon.
Oh I remember temperatures like this in years gone by and don't miss them at all. It is a beautiful 28 degrees c here today. Perfect weather. I think I will stay in Australia. Never even been tempted to go back to the UK. Have only been back once in 27 years.
@onewing Babs, I'll be with you shortly and started to pack my bags. I don't take up to much room and will curl up in a corner - TAKE PITY ON AN OLD PENSIONER - it's cold.
I too pref winter
