Out walking and geocaching I came across this anvil positioned in a Cotswold dry stone wall. The anvil also had all the tools and a horseshoe welded onto it with an exploration on the plaque which read:
Arthur James Davis was the village blacksmith on this site from 1918 to 1963 when he died in his 80th year.
So please this small Cotswold village can celebrate a bit of local history. Saying that, the whole place has history oozing out of every building and narrow streets.
