Captured just at the right Anvil. by ladymagpie

Captured just at the right Anvil.

Out walking and geocaching I came across this anvil positioned in a Cotswold dry stone wall. The anvil also had all the tools and a horseshoe welded onto it with an exploration on the plaque which read:

Arthur James Davis was the village blacksmith on this site from 1918 to 1963 when he died in his 80th year.

So please this small Cotswold village can celebrate a bit of local history. Saying that, the whole place has history oozing out of every building and narrow streets.

View with a dark surround if you have time.
Great find
