Well it's still very hot and I was just sat in front of my PC reviewing my local auction room sales. When suddenly my index finger started automatically tapping the bid key and hey presto they are mine. Well that's my excuse in case my Son says, "What's that.
Yes it was all planned and these beautiful posy vases will go into my collection of Doulton Lambeth ceramics. Both dated 1881, and I'm very pleased with them, worth sitting in front of the PC this morning and collected this afternoon.
PS: Don't tell my Son, it's a secret between you and me.
I won't tell Heather! I imagine these are small when you say posy vases ! It's good to have an interest & means to follow auctions like you do, I think you would get a real thrill when they were banged down to you!
