I've just read the sad news that a working colleague of mine from the 1980's 1990's has past away aged 97, unfortunately his wife Pat also past away aged 90 just 5 days later.
Cyril Corio was a lovely chap and I always enjoyed his company. He was also a wonderful artist and had several exhibitions of his work. When he retired he taught art in Rodborough School hall. He kindly gave me one of his paintings which is a lovely memory of him
He mainly painted in Gloucestershire and the Cotswold, where this picture was painted. It shows how lovely the area of the Cotswold, where I live, really is.
Rest in peace Cyril and Pat, I have your painting on my wall to remember you.
This is a beautiful painting, reminds me of the holidays we spent in the Cotswolds many years ago.
