We return to my village today and escape from those strange people from the lower village I visited yesterday. I find myself almost repeating a capture for my 365project some 7 years ago, does time fly when you get older.
This is one of the oldest cottages in the village and was built in 1713, and was originally two adjoining cottages. The gate is new but the stone pillars and boundary walls are original and over 300 years old.
The roof and the exterior of the cottage walls are Cotswold stone which many old properties around here are made from. Although that very neat hedge is pretty, it does block a view of this lovely cottage.
I personally would love to live here, but I would need my own gardener, cleaner, chef and of course a butler, yes of I'm just dreaming again.
