I have shown you a few buildings from around the village, but today we take a look at part of the main street that goes through the village.
The chapel is visible in the background with part of the hillside woods behind. Remember my shop picture down in the bottom village I mentioned that we had one that closed in 1984. Well if you look behind the left sided telegraph pole you will see a building sticking out towards the road, with a white window, that was the old village shop. They then built a little mini-market, which is the building with the end wall facing towards us.
This has been my little bungalow home for the past 36 years. Can you see the bench in my walled and fenced front garden, with the Bee & Bee insect hotel beside it. It's been a real pleasure living in the village, great neighbours with hardly anyone leaving the village.
So there you are, that’s Lady Magpie's nest on the edge of the Cotswold Hills.
A beautiful sunny and such a peaceful village scene - Nice to see your home Heather and yes I can see your little B&B on the wall above your bench ! Happy Easter Heather !
There’s nothing like living in a village like yours! You will know everyone & they will know you. People watch out fir you in places like this....you are very lucky! I bet you chat to everyone as you sit on your bench!
