Walking up that lovely lane yesterday I came across this very unusual tree. Now I was always taught that trees grow upwards and branches grow outwards, well something went wrong with this one.
Also when I was young, yes I've got a long memory, I also drew trees in the standard upright position, and never like this. It started off okay and then went flat for about 30 feet, then turned to the standard upright in the end. You will see that the branches have grown upwards.
It been suggest, by my big Brother, that in it's early days a farmer may have bent in to start forming a hedgerow, well it certainly stops you going into the field now.
I'm also pretty sure my Brother Alan, when he sees this will suggest that this might have happened to me just after I was born, he calls me stumpy all the time.
