The weather looked promising today, but after finishing the housework the skies darkened and the heavens opened up with the torrential rain. I did have time to fill the bird feeders just to keep my friends happy.
I lived with my neighbours on either side for 30+ years, wouldn't want to change a thing. However I was surprised to see new neighbours had move into next doors garden, without any notification may I add.
It's rather a large family, Mum, Dad, Grandad and children. Hopefully they wont be to noisy, although they do keep bobbing up and down every few seconds, Thankfully they are in the back garden, so they shouldn't disturb my garden animals out the front.
Dad looks a bit grumpy and often stands with his arms folded showing his authority, whilst Mum keeps calm collecting the children in one place. However, Granddad is quite unusual and I think is an ex-sailor as he doesn't go anywhere without his spyglass. I'm sure I keep hearing him shouting out "Avast me Hearties" for some unknown reason.
Not sure my imagination is going wild again, but I don't think these new neighbours will be to much trouble for me, and if they do cause problems I'll just block their holes up, please don't report me to the RSPCM (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Meerkats).
Oh what a fantastic set of new neighbours...I think dad is looking very smug...he will be thinking we'll be alright here folks, the neighbours are kind!
