Fantastic, I managed to escape my home prison and go and find a geocache at the lovely church in North Woodchester. At the same time I visited my wonderful friend Julie, who we lost over 11 years ago.
I found the cache with no problem, but reaching it wasn't easy for me, my wonky-donkey leg didn't like the slight bank I had to climb, but I made it there and back without falling on my aspidistra.
Looks like Friday might be my day for getting out and about, with camera in hand. A bit of history for you, this Church of St, Mary was built in 1863-64 on the site of a much older church. In the interior you can find many early monuments from the 15th and 16th century.
So there you are, Lady Magpie has been Out, Out and not just out.
Well done Heather & well done for not falling over on that hilly bank.
Your friend Julie is resting in a lovely place….. a pretty church with interesting history. Glad you’ve been out out!
Beautiful capture. The steeple looks too large for the size of the church but still adds beauty to the church and the whole scene. Cemeteries with the peace they generate are so heartwarming.
