I'm just a little sparrow, that lives in a nest
I fly around the gardens; it puts feathers on my chest
But when I need to eat some food, I walk around the ground
looking for those lovely seeds, and suet balls, so round.
The lovely lady in this house, she feeds me every day
I sit along her garden fence; I hope she’s not away
She puts them in a special cage, the big birds are so angry
The hole’s to small for their big heads, we’re so smug and dandy
The starlings do not bother me, they haven’t got a clue
They flap around all the time; their babies squawk and boo
We keep on eating while they spin, around the small bird cage
The big birds have to fly away, they are in such a rage
