Stephanie Scott would have turned 28 today, but sadly her life was taken in April last year by a man (a scumbag who doesn't deserve to have his name mentioned) just days before her wedding. This week he was sentenced to life in prison, without parole. Stephanie's grieving mum had asked for the community to join with them in celebrating Stephanie's 28th Birthday by having a cup of tea & and mint slice biscuit.....from what I am seeing on facebook, many people helped them celebrate, which is wonderful for this tight knit community.

What a beautiful tribute to such a senseless murder. We had a nephew's wedding the same weekend that Sreph's was to be. One of my daughters organised ribbons to be worn in memory of Steph. Such tragedy affects people all around the place. My heart goes out to her family.
