One year ago today I had to make the very difficult & heartbreaking decision to put my mate to rest. Life has not been the same without him, and I still miss him terribly & think of him every day.
Over a period of 35 years we have had 5 Boxers in our lives that were all a big part of our family.....We loved them all dearly, but none were like my Oscar. He was something extra special. He had the most gentle & placid soul & an almost human-like personality that captured everyone who had the pleasure to meet him.
This is one of my favourite photos of Mr Oscar, taken a couple of years ago while he was playing with his favourite toy, a fluffy monkey....he was such a scallywag & I loved every inch of him.
Oh my goodness.. i feel your pain, i had to put my Boxer, Levi to sleep almost 4 years ago and theres not a day that goes by that I don't miss him in some small way. I dont know what it is about boxer pups that are so special, but they wrap themselves around your heart and give you so kuch unconditional love. Big fav from me
Oh @leggzy I know how you feel so much, there is not a day goes by that I don't think of my Roddy, I miss him so much. These boxers are like no other breed I swear. Your Oscar was one handsome boy, what a beautiful face he had and such lovely gentle eyes. Rest in peace beautiful boy.
I'm so sorry. I saw the image yesterday without seeing your words (not sure how I missed them) and just thought this was an image of your pooch. Had no idea of the story behind it. It's never easy when you have to say goodbye and it doesn't get easier over time. They leave such a huge hole in our lives when they're gone. I'm sure Oscar had a wonderful life with you. I bet he was a real character 😌
What a beautiful photo. I lost my collie last year and not a day goes by without thinking of her. They are such amazing companions and I feel so sorry for your loss and understand your sadness. fav
What a great image! We have always had boxers too - white ones. Amazing, adorable and perfect! Callie, my last dog was my best friend and when she passed away I decided to never have another one. She passed over 10 years ago now, and I still see her sitting on the front steps every day. :(
