As the surface of the moon becomes more lighted each day on the way to full, it's “waxing.” “To wax” means to increase in size gradually. I have really enjoying looking at the different phases of the moon this year.
Wow! Fantastic shot. Yesterday evening, the moon was so beautiful on my sky as well. It had a tint of orange and it was beautiful. But before I got my camera out, it hid behind a thick layer of clouds and never returned to sight. But I did take the time to enjoy the view (before deciding to take the camera out).
