I ordered a Raynox macro/close conversion lens and it arrived the other day. Tried it out this morning in the front yard. The iris around my mailbox post are starting to bloom. It really blurs out the background which is a tree and white house next door. Going to take some practice but I think I'm going to like it. It clips to the treads of the lens on your camera. Took me a good while to figure that out, I was over thinking it.
That's an excellent, sharp photo of one of my most favorite flowers. Glad you mentioned using a Raynox conversion lens. I've been thinking about getting one. fav
@fjmom. FYI I chose the DCR-150 when I read how hard the other one was to focus because the magnification was so large. I was able to hand hold to get this shot.
just read your caption about the raynox. when i received mine, i was so mad because there was no instruction as to how to 'connect' it to the camera lens. i was all set to send it back a week later when my niece looked at it, then simply smacked it right on to the lens. duh me! hahaha. this is a gorgeous shot.
