Took a field trip out of Black Hill with a group of birders to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Preserve http://www.fws.gov/refuge/Bombay_Hook/
We got lucky to see thousands of snow geese heading to the salt marshes. This was just one group of maybe five that went over us. They are so loud that you hear them before they are visible. It was supposed to be a clear day but at least it wasn't too cold. I will drop a shot of them in the water in my extra album but they are so far off and I didn't bring my big lens. The group identified at least 20 different birds that we spotted at the reserve. Thought I had fixed the date in the camera??? Maybe I didn't hit save..
