So the reason behind all the big lenses from yesterdays post. In most of my shots the eagles are very small but twice we had an eagle fly right over the top of us. I was hand holding my camera and starting shooting as he passed over me continuing to lean backwards as I shot. Luckily I didn't end up on my backside. The photographer next to me was smiling and had taken a step closer to me saying "thought I was going to have to catch you". What we won't do for the illusive shot.
Instant fav. I have been intrigued by Jane Anderson's comments on your project and am definitely not disappointed. A terrific action capture. And the eagele is such a beautiful bird.
Let me just tell you that I think this handheld shot is probably every bit as good as some of those fancy doodad, on a tripod, big… lens pictures! Spectacular image!
@rickster549 sure somehow I must have changed a setting in lightroom and will try to figure that out so it shows Exif again. I was using a Sigma 150-500mm and had switched from my D750 to my D5100 to get a little more reach out of the lens because of it's crop sensor . The lens was at 500mm for this shot.
