We had such warm weather the last couple weeks and then the freezing temps moved in. Snow is expected tonight and they have already canceled schools, flights and all around travel. With that in mind I headed to D.C. to check on the Cherry Trees. They are almost ready to bloom and the temps might just kill 90 % of the buds. This is a section of Haines Point across the street from the Tidal Basin and they are in bloom a little ahead of the basin. It's a wait and see situation if we will have a full bloom around the Tidal Basin this year.
Love seeing your shot. I saw on the news tonight about the storm headed your way, they even mentioned the cherry blossoms. Gorgeous shot of the calm before the storm. FAV
Lovely shot of the cherry trees! Last year I was in D.C. for a conference about 3 days before they bloomed... So glad you got the photo before the cold temps hit.
Flights canceled and all-around travel. Your next sentence, what do you do?! You travel!!! That's my girl! It was worth it though for this beautiful photo. Nice color and compose beautifully. stay warm
