At the height of the construction of the Shetland Gas Plant a number of barges and ships were brought in to accommodate the extra workforce needed to complete the job. This barge was berthed at Scalloway for at least a couple of years. Ugly looking thing but it did provide some additional shelter for the fishing boats.
