When you drive from Missoula to Whitefish in Montana, you drive for mikes and miles by Flathead Lake. The Flathead cherry trees were all overloaded with beautiful cherries and when we stopped at an orchard they said "just two more weeks" and they will be ripe. They are Bing Cherries and there's nothing better than buying them fresh from the orchards, oh my, they are delicious. The cherries from Washington State were in so we bought those and enjoyed them for several days.

Oh, I love cherries! These look wonderful! Too bad they weren't ripe enough for you to eat. Your photo has me wishing I had some cherries in the house right now to eat...I'll have to get some the next time I'm at the grocery store. I'll think about you when I do. :-)
