My husband retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer (Airdale) after serving 23 years. The date on the photo is April 4, 1979. Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day here in the USA

Thank you so much for your sweet comments and favs. Jerry and I have only been married for 17 years, he had been retired from the Navy for a long time by the time we met. I am very proud of his service to our country, he can tell some great stories!

What a marvelous commemorative photo! My dad was a Navy man in WWII and I have a wonderful photo of him that I must copy so I have it on hand by next year.. I've loved seeing the many fathers, and the occasional husband : ) here today!
