My recycled desk calendar by louannwarren

My recycled desk calendar

I like this little stand up monthly calendar by my PC. I purchased it new in 2012, beginning in 2013 I have printed off the New Year’s calendar and cut out and taped each month to its corresponding card. That is a photo mug from granddaughter Cadence holding my pens. She’s 3 in this photo, and 18 now. What happens to the years? 😊
Very clever

I have a partiality for collaged images containing text, so I'd make this last also! "For the art" is the reason we buy them in the first place!

Yes I think it's just the perfect size for a desk. Good recycling!

She has changed much more than the calendar I'm sure. One can rejigger the calendar, but not the grandchildren. They're going to keep moving on no matter how we'd like to keep them young and precious.

Great idea, Lou Ann! We should recycle whenever we can! Love your mug! It's so wonderful to have items like this where we can see them every day and smile. :-)

@Weezilou This calendar is very reminiscent of your fabulous collage cards and photos. I love that artistic style, there are some amazing watercolorists on Etsy who use music sheets and book pages for paintings, it is a lovely artistic style indeed.

@joansmor @happypat @gijsje @gilbertwood @alijchapman @koalagardens @kwind @happysnaps @littleconnie @taffy The recycling actually began when I went to the store where I had purchased the calendar to buy one for 2013, and they no longer carried the line. I liked the size and style of the calendar so I just began my re-use that year! Now it’s just something I do every January 1. 😊

@henrir Ha, you know me well!

@mbrutus @bruni @gaylewood Cadence’s mom has gifted me with photo mugs through the years. I treasure each one of them. Especially now that she’s 18!

@pcoulson This little recycle began when I could not replace the calendar the next year. Now it’s my annual little project. 😊

One day a child, the next, an adult with a character, thoughts and a future! I'm using mugs for pens too! Mostly they don't work!

They do go so quickly, don't they? You have a very nice collection of memories and practicality on your desk!
