@joansmor@onewing@beryl@lynnz@kwind@mittens@carolmw@ludwigsdiana@gaylewood@jacqbb@ziggy77@carole_sandford@pcoulson@sugarmuser@gilbertwood Thank you so much, this popped on the TP and PP today! The amazing thing to me about this staircase was how much iron was used, the newels, risers, balusters and wall string are all made of black iron. It is such a surprise when you walk into the visitor center and see this really great staircase! It just seemed to me if you were going to spend the money to renovate the space to look like the hotel, you would make it into lawyer’s offices or a bank. It was incongruous to have children running and playing on the beautiful pink marble floor. The lobby extension is the wonderful children’s play area and train room. So, just one of those mysteries you never find the answer to. Ha!
