Blue skies after the rain

We had a wind and rain event Wednesday, all that was left yesterday morning were a few street puddles. That’s my friend and neighbor Lynda’s oak tree reflection along with the sky. Why is the sky bluer after a rain? 😊

It's like another world is trying to emerge into yours. Nice reflection! I'm not sure what the reason for the color change is but I would guess it might have something to do with what the wind and rain blew or washed away in the atmosphere when the storm rolled through. Just a guess!
