When we were in Santa Fe we happened upon Susan’s Christmas Store, a tiny shop filled to the brim with Christmas treasures from across the world. Milagros, “Miracles” in Spanish, are traditionally used for healing purposes in Mexico. In the Mexican folk culture, Milagros representing every body part are hung on alters and statues of saints to petition for healing or to give thanks for that body part being healed. I loved this design, it was stamped in sheet copper and was so easily bent I couldn’t get it to lay flat to hang it. I had it framed and it now hangs in my kitchen so I can enjoy it every day.
Interesting subject captured in lovely colour and detail Lou Ann, now thats the sort of store my wife always manages to find in many of the places we have visited around the world, always finds something to purchase for our Christmas tree's yes trees, lol:)
So interesting and this is so beautiful , Love the copper and turquoise colour and you did well to have it framed for an everlasting memento to enjoy and cherish daily ! fav
