‘Tis the last Zinnia of summer left blooming alone.....
All her lovely companions are faded and gone.....
I just couldn’t resist using this dead flower in the Celtic Song “The Last Rose of Summer”.
Just doesn’t sound the same, ha!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Truth be told, this Zinnia is in an iron cradle with a moss liner. With our heat wave, I honestly think the soil got too hot and burned the roots, as the lovely Thyme I had in the cradle with the Zinnias burned to a crisp too.
