Every vault and exhibit space at the Kimbell Art Museum had this instrument sitting in an out of the way place along a wall. It measures humidity and temperature, both real environmental threats of Fine Art. There were lots of wires on the back of this instrument, hidden in a wall panel, that I’m sure fed the current information to a control room. The accepted best temperature is 70 degrees F. and 50% humidity levels. I noticed the temperature was much higher, 85 degrees F., in this gallery, but the humidity was at the perfect level. This for the August word “circle”.
