Yarn bombing the Port Aransas beach bollards

Port Aransas resident Diana Vronda saw trees and bollards in Europe with knitted yarn covers when she vacationed there in 2014. When she returned home she started knitting covers for the beach bollards by the Caldwell pier. Other residents joined her efforts and the “yarn bombing” has really taken off. They were fun to see the day we went to the pier.
Nice collage and neat story

They are really cute but there's a part of me that says, "Some people have too much time on their hands!" lol That is fun though and actually delightful to look at. Just makes you smile. I especially like the octopus!

@k9photo @beryl @gijsje @mittens @brillomick @domenicododaro @happypat @joansmor @olivetreeann @happysnaps @milaniet @ludwigsdiana @photogypsy @dide @pcoulson @pusspup @777margo thank you! The knitting comes off the bollards at end of March and the residents are starting a petition to keep them. So fun but the lady who started the whole thing says they are an “art installation”, they were never intended to be permanent. 😊
