The Bonsai tree Jill gave me for Mother’s Day has not minded the 14” of rain we’ve had this month. I fretted that it was getting too much water but it does have drain holes in the little planter it’s in. I certainly haven’t had to mist it so it wouldn’t dry out. Ha. I liked the rain drops on the leaves.
Everything I have is soggy - even with drain holes - can't run out fast enough :) Bring on some sunshine, please! Love how healthy this little bonsai tree looks.
@Weezilou I do not have instructions. It seems to be a type of succulent, similar to the jade trees we all had in the 70’s. I’m sure I can get on Wikipedia/Google and learn how to prune it. Of course I’m terrified to touch it. It’s 3-4 years old now.
@koalagardens, @onewing oh! I just saw your comments. It does remind me of a jade tree but it’s in such a tiny pot....maybe the pot size limits it’s growth?
@louannwarren haha...we DID all have Jade plants back then! If you've had it that long, it's doing fine! I thought you'd received it in recent months and had to trim the tap root or something like that!
@Weezilou Jill gave it to me for Mother’s Day this year! The tag on it said it was 3-4 years old. I’m just hopeful it won’t die at least for a while. Ha!
It seems to be enjoying the rain.
