I’ve featured this tree before, it grows on the dam for Grapevine Lake. The lake authority largely ignores the trees in this area because no one is allowed to walk or ride bikes there. The tree is splitting now, it is miraculous that it survived the deep freeze because it stands all alone in that field. No protection from those north winds that week.
