The most dangerous animal in the Big Five! There were so many, also some teenagers. As you might know, Wednesday I do my weekly shopping round. When done, I drive around to see what I can take pics of in the area. I knew that there was a small herd, but not that there were so many now. I was a bit intimidated as some were pretty close to the fence. These vines had been cut down to the ground, I suppose they were too old and are being replaced.
@louannwarren I think the reason might be that there is so much grass that will probably be mown and dug up. There was a huge electric fence around the patch they were in :-)
@jeneurell I should imagine they were there to get a good feed before all that green gets dug up for some new planting. It is probably breeding season, so mating would also be an important issue. The majority get sold to game reserves, after all they are the most dangerous animal of the Big 5 and everyone wants to see them ;-)
