Day 2 of the Birthday celebrations. A wonderful experience with an overnight stay and a private game drive. Hope yo enjoy it with me. This was the second day that I used the Tamron 18-400 and did not handle it well. I had problems getting it to 400mm which was not enough in any case. I should have taken the Lumix with me.
This one looks beautiful when viewed on black. The clarity and light are fabulous. I’m not sure why you think it’s not a good photo I think it turned out beautifully
Sounds like an amazing experience. If I'm unsure about what I'll be taking, I usually have one of my back-up cameras with me (the cell phone or point and shoot) just in case. But I'm no where near as technical when it comes to lenses so I'm impressed with what you know! Good shot!
Great composition of the entrance. Looking forward to more from your trip. 18-400 is asking a lot of any lens. Keep working with it. They do tend to be soft at the extreme ends. I had that experience with my 24-100 kit lens.
@grammyn thanks Katy, I was referring to the shot of animals which were far away ;-) @terryliv@rickster549 I could get it out, but it was very tight and not smooth. It took me a while to reach the 400mm. I do have bad osteo arthritis in my fingers, which made it more difficult to turn ;-) @olivetreeann I really should have done that, next time I will be wiser ;-)
