Roses and wine

In front of each row of vines, one finds a rose bush! It is there as a kind of pest control. When the farmer sees insects on them, he has to spray some sort of pesticide so that they do not go to the vines.
I didn't know that! Look how beautiful- the roses, the grape vines, the mountain and sky!

Brings back lovely memories and excitement. This day last year we were cruising across the Bay of Bengal on our way to India and eventually South Africa. We visited some of the wineries, were told about the roses and I fell in love with those gorgeous mountains.

Like the quality of light and air in this shot; blue blue sky, no haze. Very nice photo.
