A Pin Tailed Wydah

having a feast on our lawn.
Love female, i have seen a male dance just now on YouTube. It’s probably the wrong time in the year to see that. Lovely photo and you made me curious......always a good thing.

Pretty bird. I am guessing you did not get my emails. I received the beautiful rose cards I had made. I'm going to send you an email from my gmail account. Maybe it will reach you.

No way! I had to find your posting! And you just write that name down trippingly as it's so familiar to you! His colouration looks more like I would expect to see on a female: is it the difference, do you suppose, in our seasons? I'm not sure who mine is getting all dressed up for! What fun!!!

@henrir Will do Henri, it is rather strange ;-)

@Weezilou They are here daily Louise. I think this is still his breeding colour, as he is pure white and black in Summer. The female looks a bit lighter than this and id tiny. I even captured the mating dance last year, but with my cell. I had no camera at the time. That is one of the many reasons I bought a camera. Although the quality is not good, it still looks lovely. I could post it if you are interested ;-)

@ludwigsdiana Thanks, Diana! Of course I'd be interested! How interesting it is that the one I photographed is all black and white and it IS the middle of summer here (so he's over his jet lag!) Will you give me a high sign...I've already missed a couple days again, and the pace is picking up with PT every other day, and more appointments... Thanks!
