This Dikkop looks sad, such beautiful feather pattern.

I had not heard of a dikkop, so I googled it and found it had the peculiar alternative name of "thick-knees." Some people have no romance when they name creatures, do they!! What a pretty little thing nestling among the flowers there.

I looked at some of your bird pictures and came across the Dikkop one and thought Dickkopf is the German spelling for Dikkop and means someone is obstinate or stubborn and thought that's not a nice name for such a beautiful bird.
