are the shark spotters. False Bay has a little island called seal island which attracts the big white shark to the bay. There have been quit a few attacks on swimmers and especially surfers. On a few spots one can find these shark spotters, who set off an alarm. You have no idea how quick one can get out of the water.
swimmers look like seals so it isnt personal! We go into the water knowing they are there, in the same we could go onto the savannah where hungry lions roam, the risks are there. I like how you made the flag and the loud haler prominent
It is dangerous to swim in waters where white sharks would show up. Due to occasions of sharks attacking swimmers many years ago, now all our beaches are surrounded by shark net even though sharks appearance are rare here.
It’s good to know that they have some thing like this for the people. I think I would be hesitant to go in the water in the first place though. I like the story this photo tells.
