It is rather unusual that only those who fall off the bush turn out this way. When one picks them to eat, the outside skin is still intact and not transparent.

@grammyn The outer skin turns almost this colour but is still intact Katy. The berries are edible if they still look juicy and have not shrivelled yet ;-)
