I know I'm a cute little green fish, but I don't want to go round and round! I get too dizzy and then won't be able to swim in a straight line!

Further adventures of Jessie: I spent all yesterday researching Peterborough Cathedral. There were so many names I couldn't make out but boy, it was interesting finding out about this! Rebuilt in 1116 and of tremendous architectural beauty and interest. Two Queens buried here, Mary was later reburied in Westminster cathedral. I didn't see a picture in her album but saw one on the internet! Its magnificent!
Great shot. So very cute. Now, by the way, if Mr. Nuts and Bolts man and Yolanda need a place to stay when they leave Vancouver (if they head East toward Winnipeg), I'm sure we could find room ; )
@okc553 this was the travels of my mother and her sister in 1929. I'm just transcribing her journal and finding out where she went. It seems cathedrals were high on the agenda!
@maggiemae Yes - I just read the entry you made at the start of your project. Very interesting - if there is any research I can do from this end, please let me know. I shall follow with great interest - quite keen on family history.
@okc553 thank you, Tom...I have trouble with her handwriting and don't know that names of little villages or historic names! I will be grateful if I can ask you!
@okc553 Tom, my mother is writing about Nottingham and says that it is known for Robin Hood and Lord Byron. Then she says "Ironwork , too where the "little Smith of Nottingham" "who doth the work that no man can become famous" The next sentence is: "now its known for "??? motor cars"? The word looks like "losing" but that cant' be right. Any clues?
@maggiemae Leave it with me and I'll look into it. Do you have access to a scanner? I'll let you have my personal email address - probably better than writing it all on here.... tomwcole@btinternet.com I'l get back to you as soon as I can.
