I'm posting a bit early because tomorrow I'm playing the ukelele with the group at a Breakfast by the Oamaru Harbour! The Mayor is arriving by sea so that sounds worthy of a photograph. Mightn't have time to post this - early start!
Three good things:
1 Book club down on the eastern coast of Otago had its challenges
2. The coastal storms were coming through and I got a stark one tree photo.
3. I got out of telling them all what book I'd been reading because its a Marcia Willett book and I absolutely love them. They are all reading awful books of trial and tribulation, Africa, Mexico, Russia etc!
One very vivid and eye catching rainbow.
1. One good thing about storms are the rainbows they can produce.
Enjoy your breakfast tomorrow and I hope it does not rain on your ukelele.
Sometimes book clubs seem to pick books that they feel we 'aught' to be reading regardless of whether we are likely to enjoy them....you stick to what you like!
Stunning rainbow & it's rightbin front of those houses.
Hope your ukulele plying went well......I'm sure it put all in happy spirits.
Glorious rainbow Maggiemae - I know "Sail on the Sloop John B" so well - believe it or not it is (or was - it's been a few years) the school song at Nelson Girls College!
Wow - an amazing rainbow that I had to fav as it looks so magical. And what a great experience to be having tomorrow (or later tonight for you, I guess) getting to play the Uke in those circumstances.
@happypat I agree totally about Book club choices - I get annoyed but get out of the 'school' like review very tactfully and cleverly diverting the subject. The rainbow WAS in front of the houses and thats what took my interest. Pot'o'Gold??
