Not a museum but....

a Railway Station! In Wellington which is a hub for travel. Our trip here was fraught with difficulty. The flight was cancelled, we were put on a small plane to go to Paraparaumu, a small airfield further up the coast then on to a bus which took us back down to Wellington. Thankfully arriving in our hotel room, John realised he had left his heavy leather Indian motorcycle jacket in the bus! We are guests tomorrow at the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Indian Motorcycle Owners Assoc.

Three good things;
1. After contacting Air NZ who gave us the phone number of a lady in charge of the airport, we were able to talk to her. She was trying to contact the bus driver. Hopefully the jacket has not been stolen. Still haven't retrieved it yet.
2. Plenty of good buildings to photograph - the parliamentary Beehive is just near.
3. NZ cheese is just the best - our Canadian visitor couldn't stop eating it!
Great shot. Hope the jacket finds it way back to you.

Well I am amazed at this railway station & the grandeur of it......I didn't think rail travel featured very highly in NZ . Magnificent pillars! I do hope John gets his jacket back....he must be unsettled thinking about it. One thing is I think it would be too identifiable to wear especially to any motorbike do's ....hope fully someone will realise it's too hot to handle! Publicise that Bert Munroe's son has had his jacket nicked there will be an outcry!

That is one colorful railroad station! Oh, I feel so bad for John over his coat. I do hope it turns up and gives us a good reason to have hope that there is some honesty and good left on this earth! Good shot- those pillars sure look massive!

Beautiful rail station. It does look like the exterior of a museum. So colorful. I went backward in the photo and thought someone from the rally traveled the distance for your hubby's coat. But still . . . really awesome of the man to go the distance to return it! I would be lost without my leather coat. I would love to try NZ cheese.
