I organised my day - what I wanted to do and eat. I did actually clean some of the outside windows but that was the only exercise. Roast Chicken with stuffing, roast potatoes and kumeras, plus salad and green peas. The best was yet to come!
This ice-cream is new in NZ - salted caramel with cashews! I tasted a sample in our supermarket and bought it within 10 seconds. Then bought the Danish waffle ice-cream cones. We don’t eat ice creams usually so this was a real treat and needed a photo!
Three good things:
1. Skype from Seattle and son for a Mother’s day wish.
2. Found a photo taken 60 years ago when my family went down to Dunedin to go to the “Borovanski Ballet” and stayed at this hotel and where we are staying this week for a car event. Our car, a 1937 Chevrolet was parked outside in this old photo and I thought we could put our Sadie in exactly the same place for a years later photo!
3. Put seed out for “wild’ birds and the sparrows went mad. Not my intended subject!
john's seem to be looking at you lovingly and you look like you want more ice cream! :-) very nice pic. i hope you enjoyed your mothers' day celebration.
Two lovely icecream eaters......that flavour sounds delicious although I am not an ice cream eater only when it's hot! John is looking very romantic....you should buy ice cream more often maggiemae!
@happypat We had a visitor at the door in the middle of our ice-cream eating and I had to 'look after' his ice-cream! It started to melt so I had to stop it somehow- so I had 1 & 1/2 ice creams!
Well that apostrophe is controversial I believe! There is a school of thought that it is a day about mothers not belonging to them as in Christmas Day or Easter Day and therefore shouldn't have an apostrophe. It stresses me out because I like to know right from wrong! Fancy that ice cream - but I'm getting fat so I've had to avert my gaze...
I love this portrait of you both and especially the way John is looking at you! So loving! The ice cream sounds delicious! It's a great idea to take a photo of Sadie where your old car stood. Put both shots up so we can see.
I hope you had a wonderful day and enjoyed your mothers day celebrations Sounds a wonderful flavour of ice cream -I very rarely eat Ice cream but there is one flavour I can not resist is the ginger ice cream -- it has lumps if stem ginger in syrup in it !--I have only found it in N Wales ( surprisingly !!) and made by a company up there !!
John has a lovely twinkle in his eye Maggiemae -- I should treat him to more of that ice cream if I was you !!!!!
Sounds like a great day. I had ice cream when I got home from shooting a wedding . Can't say we don't have it often but I'm not usually eating anything normally at 10:30 pm
Great idea to shoot Sadie in a "years later" pose!
