Even though its very restraining being stuck in one room while getting better, its challenging!
This is a favourite and real water colour that was painted by a local artist about 60 years ago. Its on the wall of the bedroom. It is appropriate when discussing how easy it is to turn a photo into a painting now.
Three good things:
1. Having a conversation with 365 friends.
2. John is learning how to cook or more specifically how to use the microwave!
3. The cat leaning against my legs in bed all day! I guess she wanted me to get better, get up and give her lots of wonderful treats!
I hope you are now on the road to recovery Maggiemae! Or are you enjoying being looked after by John? Nice to know the cat is keeping you company! Lovely painting by the way.
So sorry you are still "one room bound," but hoping you are on the mend. I think our pets know when we are under the weather. This shot is a very creative use of the resources available to you... nicely done! A lovely result. Hope you are up to escaping soon.:)
Oh Maggie, what happened? I took a break for a few days. Hope you are up and about soon. It's a wonderful painting, by the way. Is that the way it's framed, or did you process it? I really like the effect it creates.
Beautiful painting and very nicely framed. My brother-in-law enjoys painting with water colours. He is the one who paints the face of the Maltese Clocks which I am doing and he got the first clock.
A lovely watercolour and yes I did wonder if it was one of your clever conversions from the camera when I first saw it. Sorry to hear you are laid low though. Here's a short poem of mine to cheer you up (I wrote it when I was feeling unwell):
Plankton
I'd like to be a plankton
floating in the sea,
no need of plan to act on,
not knowing that I'm me,
to completely draw a blank on
the point of poetry.
it could have been your photo processed into a painting. you have shot a similar scenery before if my memory serves me right. or maybe someone else's. i hope you are better now, maggiemae. having a conversation with like-minded people is always great!
Hopefully you're feeling better by the time I see this shot. It's a lovely painting. Fun thing is that if you'd not put any wall around it and told us it was a landscape you'd processed this way or that, we wouldn't have known the difference!
@olivetreeann I think if you saw the painting you would realise it was a real painting but with the technology now - one can produce a very good likeness!
That's so funny, I was just imaging you in bed with your favorite pet, and there it is!! Cats are so comforting in times like this.....sleeping is their favorite activity besides eating, and they like it when their humans join them in staying in bed all day....;-))) Have you been to the doctor yet.....this sounds like you might need some prescription drugs!
