Now as usual, no cell coverage and no wifi!, not even the radio would work. We had to rely on our resources! Which were rather rewarding except for……
Three Good things;
1. We managed to salvage ourselves after getting stuck in the mud with the caravan on our back. It was the driving skill of HJ as well as several cars of people who pushed and pulled at the right time!
2. We tried for several campsites which were either too expensive or not available. Some sites on our book ended up with great big boulders in place so we couldn’t go in.
3. Eventually after hours of driving through great rimu forests and bush clad hills arrived at this Lake Site. Now we knew the bugs were frightful here but we had insect screens on all our windows and astonishingly enough, discovered for the first time, an insect screen on our door!
4. Some incredible photos of Fox Glacier and Mt Cook!
MAGGIE! HI THERE, MY FRIEND! Of course, your photo is stellar, but I wanted you to know that I'm still alive and well and have always, ALWAYS appreciated your awesome feedback when I did the 365 in 2012. I've been busy with work and family but for some reason, tonight, I felt compelled to see what's been happening with my faraway friends in the 365 World. I have to say I'm am supremely impressed that you have kept this 365 pace up for so many years! (You're my hero and inspiration!) I'm such a perfectionist that it paralyzes me sometimes but I've decided that since I'll be turning 60 in 2018, I'm just going to fly by the seat of my pants and just share pics that mean something to me and hopefully will entertain you guys (and not bore you) and not worry so much about lighting, shading, depth of field, focus, the rule of thirds...all of those requirements of a perfect photo. When I start boring you guys, please be the one to tell me! Hugs and Love from Lafayette, Louisiana! :-) Sorry for the long post but it's a Southern thing. haha!
@kali66 Sorry Kali - didn't get to meet with you! We lost cell connection way back before Barrytown and didn't get it again till today (Sunday)! No wifi, radio or TV either!
