Prague;
One has to pace oneself when aged but not infirm when travelling! We kept within the boat’s confines until lunch when we set off up a narrow road in an effort to find shops. John needed another jacket.
We realised that we had to watch where we walked as dog poo was everywhere! A shame. The cobbled streets made it difficult to get rid of.
Three good things:
1. We found a shop and John bought a good jacket for about 1/4 price than his other lost one.
2. Got this photo of the swans - ok but want to get one of them flying past.
3. The local Indian motorcycle riders met with us and we chatted for a number of hours before two of them took us for a night ride through Prague. So busy and so historic. Got to research this event where they became a republic!
Beautiful capture of the Vlatava River, a very enchanting river I would say. I've been to Prague many years ago. It is a wonderful city and I would love to visit it again one day.
I love the way you caught these two swans, they look dwarfed by the wall & buildings. I am so surprised that Prague doesn't deal with dog poo like most other countries! You did the Indian too, fantastic where all the fans are!
after the second world war Czechoslovakia was part of the Soviet Union bloc and when the communism in Europe was coming at an end at the end of the 80's, Czech and Slovakia were split and Czech became a republic in 1993. interesting history to this country. the almost second mr. summerfield was from Czech Republic. your shot invokes poems and prose. aces!
