Trees survive winter, bare…. I don’t! by maggiemae

Trees survive winter, bare…. I don’t!

I wanted to use this scene for my imagination. The wintery & totally bare trees were in front of a lovely classic building here which was enshrouded with white plastic, being renovated for earthquake strengthening!.
As there were cars below these trees I cropped them out and pretended the bottom half of the trees were a reflection on nothing.

Three good things:
1. Fun using cloning and levels to create this and remove two road notices. (nobody was harmed in this exercise)
2. The mussels for lunch were just superb in a cream and parsley sauce. (getting my vegetables!).
3. Friday night is rugby for John but a chance to read my book with the occasional ‘wow’ in the right places!
A wonderful image -- A1 editing Maggie ! and I always smile at your 3good things

This is so cool! #2 there’s a fabulous French bistro in the city that makes the best mussels, after reading your post I will have to go there!

fabulously done maggie! i am in awe of your cloning skills. i would probably not have taken the shot as the cars and building would have put me off. must get better at that. would have been a shame to miss out on those graceful, elegant trees

Yes, good editing here... and I especially like your title. This would render nicely in B&W for the B&W minimalist challenge.

Beautiful!! Nice mussels recipe too

@pistache Cloning is easy once you have worked it out. I think a lot of ideas must come looking at how we can crop the subject!

@vignouse I actually did try this in B&W but because of the lack of anything else, it rendered boring!, Richard

You would never ever know that you weren't out in the wilds somewhere & that these trees hadn't got their feet in a cool pool of water! Love the slight reddish look of the branches, you child be in a paddy field in China perhaps!

VML the tree colour.
