I walked around some of the 54 hectares of this holiday camp and went past this bush of flowers and fluffy explosions. Haven't a clue what it is! I'll post a pic of the fluffy bits later.
Three good things:
1. The first day on my own went well. I know a lot of you spend time on your own but I haven't had that time- its actually a bit like a holiday!
2. Reading a book called "Kiwis might fly" by Polly Evans. Always interesting from an English angle!
3. Marmite on toast!
What a delicate plant and lovely image that give the feelings of the garden.

It is a swan plant /Milk weed Maggie .. the home/ food of the Monarch butterfly .. not good seeing a wasp on here as they eat the eggs .. I have just googled the botanical name and it is Gomphocarpus Physocarpus .. though I also see another name is 'Bishop Balls'... hmm ... so there you go you have choices..

@julzmaioro As I find the botanical name hard to pronounce but the bishop balls runs smoothly off the tongue, I will go with the latter! Thanks Julia!

@Dawn Thanks Dawn - we had swan plants in Auckland when we lived there and I don't think they had enough time to get like this particular bush! It was all eaten within a few days!

A Swan Plant sounds so elegant. Whatever its name, it is certainly pretty and your shot really captures it nicely.

@summerfield Not everyone's favourite but if you've grown up with it, its always a favourite! Mr Cool doesn't touch it. I guess he grew up with home made marmalade!

Fabulous shot of this beautiful plant, with a little bonus ;-)

@ludwigsdiana I was lucky with this determined little wasp that @julzmaioro Julia says is a no no! Maybe I should have squashed it between my fingers instead of putting it on 365!
March 19th, 2019
When i saw this I wondered if Julia @julzmaioro would be able to identify it and I see she already has. Well done Julia
