Nothing dramatic about this day other than another Dr’s visit. Poor John had to get over 1 litre of fluid drained from his wound. The doctor was very good and in spite of her telling him to look away, he watched!
A photo of our beautifully sculptured bushes alongside our fence.
Three Good Things; 1. Putting his leg up added to the slightly better look of his horrible wound. I had to do the evening dressing change - help!
2. I didn’t take a photo of the revealed wound and neither did John or the Doctor! Probably a good idea!
3. The History Channel
Great to have a good gardener...Sorry about this set back but, hopefully now it will heal......You are doing a good "nursing" job Maggiemae & I am sure John appreciates that....we never know what lies ahead...Thinking of you both.
That sounds like an awful amount of liquid! Hoping with it out the wound would heal better now with your TLC. The bush in the foreground is one I have in my garden too ;-)
@sarah19 It really is like that, Sarah - one day at a time. Since he did this (16 days) he has no real pain but now he is complaining of pain. Must be because all that fluid has been taken off.
Ouch, poor John, the pain must be awful. A friend of mine had a melanoma removed from her leg a few months ago and had lots of problems with the wound healing. She had fluid too and also had to have it re-stitched. All good now though, but it was a long process.
Such a straight fence! John’s wound sounds horrendous....it all seems a very nasty thing to have happened....taking much of your time & changed all your plans as well as the worry & pain plus also of course John will never again be able to show a nicely turned calf for the ladies when in his shorts!! 🤭. X
@happypat That's what happens - there is no guarantee for a quiet life when you are old! Good thing John doesn't wear shorts though - hasn't even got into a bathing suit for several years!
