The next door property has a 'for sale' up! This is us on the right and this house on the left is for sale. We have had wonderful neighbours for the 11 years we have been here but what does the future hold? This place has broken windows, desperately needs painting and at the back, the ivy is over powering the garage.

Well, it sounds as if a sale could only enhance the property. I'm sure you'll get wonderful new neighbours and that the place next door will soon be spic and span again. At least I hope that is how it goes!
it would be unfortunate if your next neighbours are slobs and don't care if their garbage is blown by the wind to your property. there are people like that. hopefully that won't be the case for you. your property looks good. aces!
I remember you expressed concern about this a while back. It seems you were right. Hopefully the new neighbors will care enough to bring the property up to the standards you have set with yours! It is wonderful.
Looks like a doer upper to me. I wonder if it’ll be bought as a home or a rental. Oamaru is such a lovely town, be nice if it was taken on by some equally lovely neighbours.
