Our Cannon...

Up high above Oamaru and its Harbour is the Lookout Point. This cannon was concreted here to show how this area had defence in the 2nd World War. The cannon points seaward carrying the inscription "honi soit qui mal y pense": "Evil be to him who evil thinks".
Please don't tell anyone here that this cannon had a blast when I was there!
